Workflow Process
Step 1- Request a Permit Online
Please fill out the Request for a Permit Online below by giving a detailed description of your proposed project purpose. After review of the request, we will be back in touch with you within 1-3 business days to develop a plan of action.
Step 2- Develop a Design Plan
After a site visit we will create hand drawn unique design drawings tailored to your property and marine construction needs to submit with the JPA (Joint Permit Application) for regulating authorities to review.
Step 3- Submit Design Plan and JPA Application for Review
Once we have both agreed on the design plan, and the agent invoice has been paid we will then submit your fully prepared JPA (Joint Permit Application) to the VMRC & USACE for review. We will represent your case to all agencies the entire process from beginning to end.

Step 4- Final Permit Process
Once your case has made it through the entire review process, we will determine what permit fees are necessary to the VMRC, USACE, and Local County Building Offices. We will invoice you separately for those fees at that time, which will conclude the process and secure your permits needed to begin your marine construction project.
Once we receive full approvals from all reviewing agencies and all fees have been paid, we will send a copy of the permits to you and your contractor C & D Marine Construction Inc., so they can get you onto the work schedule to begin construction asap.
Once the marine construction project has been completed, we will send in compliance photos to the regulating authorities for review. This will conclude the permitting process.
